so stressed!

I try so hard, but it never works.
I just keep being horrible to my family. When I try to be nice, they seem to scorn me.
I get more and more stressed. Christian is especially bugging me, he often forms his hands into guns and pretends to shoot me multiple times in the head. It drives me mad, I know the guns aren’t meant to be real, but wouldn’t it get on your nerves if every time you saw someone they would pretend to shoot you? He even did it in the middle of church!
I have been sick lately and am extremely tiered, so my nerves are already on edge.
When I try to relax (watch a movie, play a game read a book.) I like to be left alone. Every time I do so, Mom asks me to do something, Christ takes away the computer, saying he has to play a game before his saved file is deleted ( what?) or Sophia needs my help choosing an outfit for the next day. Life is so stressful.

What you are going through is very typical for teenagers, but the main difference is that you are striving to do things in a Godly and Christian manner. Don't give up. Continue working toward greater sanctification and you will be blessed. Friends come and go, but your family will be your "forever friends". It does get easier as you, and they, get older. Hang in there and keep being the testimony that you are of a young person who is walking in a close relationship with the Lord. Your life speaks volumes. Don't get discouraged. God is faithful and He will be with you in your walk and to encourage you, as you let your light shine before the world. Your blog is a living testimony of a Godly young woman. Thanks for taking the time to share.

Synthea,

It is easy to understand the type of trials that you are talking about. We all go through them. I believe that God would have you to know his peace in the midst of these light afflictions. Look at 1 Peter 5:6-7;

“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”

Cast you cares upon, Synthea, he cares for you!. Come to him at all times. Read Psalm 62:8 Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah

Pour out your heart to him and trust in him, he wants to hear all of our problems. Matthew 11:28-30 is probably one of the most comforting passages in scripture. I think that it is one of the most revealing as well concerning the heart of God toward his little ones.

28 "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 "For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

Isaiah 26:3 is another great promise that we can embrace in our times of distress;

“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You”.

And finally Synthea, "may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit" Romans 15:13

Meditate on these for a time and let the Holy spirit bring comfort to your heart and may the God of all peace be with you.

Blessings,
Kermy
